Well, HSOW is all over. It’s been a challenging month, and I’ve learned a lot, but in spite of being very tired, I’m terribly sad it’s all over. The people we worked with this year were so lovely, so talented and so very, very dedicated that it’s hard to say goodbye to them.

I’m getting ready now for the Dalhousie Opera Workshop, which starts with auditions on September 7th! We’re doing the second act of Die Fledermaus, with interpolated arias and duets and so forth. It’ll be great to be back at Dal — I loved working there last year, and this year should be even better.

Great review of Giulio Cesare!

The Halifax Chronicle Herald published their review of the Starboard cast of Giulio Cesare today, and it’s very, very good. I’m so proud of everyone in both casts, and so pleased that the shows are going so beautifully.

Here’s Jeffrey Ludwig (Achilla) and Ariel Sinclair-Chin (Cesare) with the head of Pompey.
